If you already heard it, what do you think?
John Butler shares a story with the audience at an impromptu gig in a small Cafe in Ocean Beach California, November 30 2007. Butler and Brett Dennen were both supposed to perform after a beach clean-up sponsored by the San Diego CoastKeeper and the local chapter of the Surfrider Foundation. Heavy rain forced the organizers to cancel the clean-up but Butler and Dennen agreed to play at Newbreak Cafe, a small coffee shop near the beach where the clean-up was supposed to have been held.
The John Butler Trio are thrilled to introduce their newest member to the world! Grant Gerathy will be joining John Butler and Byron Luiters as the new drummer, percussionist and backing vocalist.
Grant hails from Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia and has been playing drums since he was ten years old. He previously played with Byron in Ray Mann Three and most recently with Queensland musician Bobby Alu. Grant has recorded with Kelly Slater & Angus Stone to name just a few.
“I have been really looking forward to playing these shows for a while now and to be introducing Grant with all his funk and flavours to all our fans is a real thrill. Grant, Byron and I have been having an awesome time fine tuning the new album and spicing up our old songs. We can’t wait to bring the love.” ~ John Butler
"Super stoked to be playing with John and Byron, looking forward to some rad shows!" ~ Grant Gerathy
